Happy New Year
As I begin 2011, I will do my best to visit my blog regularly and keep updating pictures of my current pieces for your viewing pleasure. I have renewed optimism and feel surges of creative energy going through me. I have committed to a group show scheduled tentatively for fall, which will possibly feature some painting as well as a themed jewelry collection.
I'll keep you posted about dates etc.
Back in 2003, I had a show that featured large stones in cocktail style rings. The title was Divine Divas and was a tongue-in-cheek homage to having a giant rock on one's finger. Each one had a name with a personality/style to match. It was so much fun, I am going to do a 2.0 version of my Divine Divas for my next show.
I decided that I love making big, juicy cocktail rings with big, fabulous gemstones and I happen to have quite a few large stones that are already in stock. I love playing with my jewels! I enjoy the process of selecting the stones that will be used, as well as the designing for each one. I will make most of the rings using sterling silver with 5% platinum alloy with accents of either 18kt yellow gold or rose gold. The gemstones will be in an array of colours, from soft pink to deep purple. Here's one of the Divas.
